Intro to Nursing & Healthcare 

Students will explore a variety of career opportunities in the Health Care field with a focusing on Nursing. Students will spend 50% of their time in Regional Hospital and Nursing Home. 

Intro to Teaching & Education

Students will explore a variety of career opportunities in the Education field with a focus on K-12 Education. Students will spend 50% of their time in Regional K-8 School and Early Childhood Education Facilities. 

Intro to Aviation & Aerospace

Students will explore the theory, skills and careers involved in the aviation and aerospace industries while also spending 50% of their time in hands on activities and experiences. Students will develop skills to fly both airplanes and drones.

Advanced Welding 

Students will specialize in the trade of Welding, working with a Red Seal Welder on a daily basis with a one to one ratio of welding booths to students. Students will prepare to challenge the Canadian Welding Bureau professional ticket exam by the end of this course.

Advanced Electrical

Students will explore the trades of Electrical & Residential Construction by working with a Journeyman Electrician and Construction Teacher. Students will develop hands on skills and advanced wiring skills to prepare them for the workforce. 

Eco-Tourism & Entrepreneurship

Students will develop an understanding and appreciation of the principles of eco tourism. Students will spend time outdoors developing skills and exploring local tourism operations while creating potential business ideas for the Restigouche region.

Equipment Operator

Students will develop the skills required to operate the machines that are used in the NB Construction & Forestry industry. Students will develop their skills through hands on simulator training and field experiences. Students will also explore the various construction and forestry related careers available in NB

Intro to Fire Fighting

Students will develop the skills and knowledge required to work safely and effectively as part of a fire-service team. The course will include a combination of lessons, practical exercises and field experiences. Students will also learn about Fire Services in NB and the various careers and volunteer opportunities.

Industrial Trades

Students will develop an understanding and appreciation for the skilled trades involved in industrial settings. Students enrolled in this course will spend 50% of their time at the AV Cell Mill exploring the skilled trades involved in the operation of the mill.
